Inferno

Programme note

This music seeks to portray the Christian's burning desire for the fire of the Holy Spirit to burn off everything that hinders his/her relationship with the Lord. The contemporary worship song "Set a Fire" by Will Reagan lies at the heart of this major work, with references to "Tucker" (TB 295), to which we associate the words "O Christ of burning, cleansing flame."
