Programme note
Charity Gayle's contemporary worship song, "I Speak Jesus," lies at the heart of this festival arrangement, which seeks to depict the powerful name of Jesus shining through the darkness that can so easily corrupt us, bringing hope, freedom, and life. It was written for the Greater New York Division's 2024 Music Conservatory, which had the theme “GLOW: Go Light Our World”.
